The Library and Information Centre in collaboration with IQAC of Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre organised a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “How to Publish a Book?” by renowned publishers with an objective to make awareness among the faculty members about book publication with ISBN and to motivate them to publish their work.
Dr Pramod Khera, CEO of Qurate Books Pvt Ltd and KR Rajesh Naidu, Relationship Manager of Himalaya Publishing House Pvt Ltd were invited as the Resource Persons.
Khera in his session said that, even though it is a digital era, more than 60% of the publications are in printed version. He also spoke about the history of publication, revolution of digital publication, difference between traditional and self-publishing. In the second session, Naidu explained how to publish an academic book with ISBN, process of writing a book, publishing it, etc.
Overall 62 teachers from various departments attended this FDP.
