VASCO
Akshay Gaikwad (25) of Pune and manager of the Vasco branch of Manappuram Finance Limited has been arrested by Vasco police, on charges of forgery, cheating and criminal breach of trust.
According to sources, the accused allegedly misused his position and created a fake account on fictitious names and siphoned off company money to the tune of Rs 50 lakh.
The accused has been arrested under Sections 465, 468,471, 420, 408, r/w 34 IPC and is presently in police custody, as investigations are in progress.
