OLD GOA
Hitting out at Chief Minister Pramod Sawant's silence on the incident of harassment of nuns at UP by right wing activists, GPCC President Girish Chodankar has said that the CM should write to his UP counterpart as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding action against the culprits.
Chodankar was speaking at a protest meeting organised by the GPYC to condemn the harassment of the nuns while travelling on a train on flimsy grounds. The protest was organised near the Gandhi circle, Old Goa on Friday. Several nuns also participated in the protest.
Speaking at the meeting, Chodankar pointed out that Sawant used to write to various CMs condemning incidents happening in their states.
“Then what stopped you from writing to the UP CM condemning this incident and demanding action against the culprits?” Chodankar questioned.
