Canacona Police has registered an FIR against Revolutionary Goans chief Manoj Parab in connection with a complaint over derogatory language used against Dy Speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes.
According to sources, Arjun Gaonkar of Gulem-Canacona filed a complaint with Canacona Police, alleging that Revolutionary Goans Chief Manoj Parab while addressing a rally on December 4 at the Chaudi KTC Bus Stand has used foul and derogatory language against Fernandes.
In the complaint, Gaonkar has also attached a copy of recording, in which the Parab is alleged to have used objectionable words while mentioning the name of Isidore Fernandes.
When contacted, Canacona PI Pravin Gawas confirmed having received the complaint against Parab.
“Yes, a complaint has been received and an FIR has been registered under Sections 500 and 504 IPC. Further investigation is in progress,” said PI Gawas.
