As a part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, Rotary Club of Margao in association with BPS Sports Club, Margao is organising “Flora Fest” a grand Nursery Mela on August 13, 14 and 15 at BPS Sports Club, opposite Ana Fonte Garden, Pajifond. Products of various companies dealing with agriculture, horticulture, medicinal and garden plants, vegetable seeds and seedlings, garden tools and equipment, organic manure etc will be on display. The exhibition cum sale will be inaugurated by Minister of Agriculture Ravi Naik in the presence of MLAs Vijai Sardesai, Digambar Kamat and Ulhas Tuenkar. The “Flora Fest” is aimed at promoting Goan farmers to increase overall agricultural production and productivity in Goa. Rotary Club of Margao is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and will be organising various events and projects to improve environmental awareness, education, public health, care of the underprivileged, and other areas. The Flora Fest Nursery Mela is open from 11 am to 8 pm. Everyone is invited to attend and avail of the products and services available at this mela.
