CANACONA: The annual drama festival of Shri Mallikarjuna Devalaya at Gaondongrim will be held from January 20 to January 24.
A Konkani drama ‘Darne Ka Nai’ presented by Swarbahar Kalamanch Canacona group will be presented on (January 20), a Dasavatari play ‘Tarakasur Vadh’ by Sur Sangam Cultural Theatre Group Gaondongrim on (January 21), ‘Mayechi Savli’ a Marathi social drama by Bhupar Natya Hoshi Mandal (January 22), Indreshwar Natya Kala Mandal (January 23), Indrawada (Gaondongrim) will present ‘Police Police Maar Pilluk’, a Konkani drama, while Sristhalam Natya Hooshi Mandal will play ‘Ekadashi Pratap on (January 24).
Between January 20 and January 24 at 7.30 pm daily, the Shri’s Palanquin procession in the presence of seven vangadis and devotees of the temple will be held and Mahaprasad from 8 pm to 9.30 pm while Natakotsav (Dramas) will be staged from 9.30 pm to 10 pm. Shri Mallikarjuna Devasthan Executive Committee has appealed to the devotees to attend, states a press note.
