The women’s wing of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry felicitated Jyoti Sardesai, director, FDA Goa and Pamela Mascarenhas, former deputy director, department of Tourism at the hands of GCCI president Ralph de Sousa and vice president Pratima Dhond respectively. The FDA director has played an important role in bringing forward major reforms in health and food safety sector while the retired deputy director of Tourism was instrumental in promoting Goa in domestic and international markets. There was an informative session by Dr Emanuel Gracias, joint MD of Gracias Hospital (Margao) to educate women on the topic of polycystic ovary syndrome, menopause and other ailments. Nutritionist Hameeda Merchant also spoke on healthy and wholesome nutrition for women. GCCI Women’s Wing was partnered by Rotary Clubs of Margao Sunrise, Panaji Riviera and Miramar for this event and was attended by Dr Sneha Bhagwat, Priti Sheth and Sonia Shirsat - the office bearers of the respective clubs. GCCI women’s wing chairperson Pallavi Salgaocar welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by Poonam Ajgoankar and Poonam Shirsat proposed a vote of thanks.
