Addressing the media, Jina said Hajis from Goa have received VIP treatment from the state government headed by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. He said the government provided luxury sleeper coaches to travel to Mumbai to the embarkation point.

On the status of the Haj house proposed at Cortalim, Jina said that the proposal has not taken shape due to the land issues. He said the central government is ready to fund the construction of the Haj

House with funds amounting to Rs five crore, but the land issue has delayed the construction of the project.
