PANAJI: The Goa University has selected the men hockey team for the West Zone inter-university hockey men championship, which is scheduled from January 2 to 8, at Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal
The kit distribution and farewell function for the teams were organized on December 29, at the Sports Section, Goa University, in the presence of Balachandra Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University, Dr Shailendra Gaonkar, Assistant Sports Officer, Goa University along with Dr Elroy Pinto, team manager, and Ayyaz Khan, team coach.
The following players will represent Goa University: Deepak Gurav, Mahadev Naik, Laxman Rathod, Kaushik Sakhalkar, Nishit Hegde, Abhishek Pathak, Royce Monteiro, Ram Rathod, Ashutosh Narvekar, Sarang Honakhande, Pavan Salgaokar, Gulamemasud Kureshi, Prashant Agharia, Atharva Pednekar, Riyaz Kambali, Gaurav Palyekar, Mylen Dsouza and Yash Tarkar.
