The Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai will distribute financial assistance to 272 cancer and dialysis patients from Governor’s Discretionary funds on August 30 at 11.30 am in Old Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula. Minister for Health, Vishwajit Rane will grace the function as a Guest of Honour. Pillai took over as Governor of Goa and had decided to reach out to the underprivileged people of Goa and extend financial assistance to needy people. On various occasions the Governor announced various financial assistance schemes such as financial assistance to dialysis, cancer and other patients. During the Goa Gram Sampurna Yatra, the Governor has travelled to nook and corner of the state and distributed financial assistance at the doorsteps of the people apart from NGOs, institutions, old-age homes, orphanages, etc.
