The Directorate of Agriculture is organising a one-day launching event to popularise the concept of Natural Farming on September 20 at 3 pm at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula, Panaji. Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devavrat has consented to grace the occasion. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Minister for Agriculture Ravi Naik, Minister for Animal Husbandry Nilkant Halarnkar and other dignitaries will grace the event. The main objective of the event is to sensitise and to create awareness amongst the agriculture extension functionaries, farming community and to popularise the concept of Natural Farming in Goa. Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devavrat is not only a strong proponent of natural farming but also an active practitioner. The Governor of Gujarat will deliver the keynote address. The farmers practising natural farming will also be felicitated on the occasion.
