“Kantar “ Gõychem Daiz” a new book of Tiatr stage songs in Konkani will be released on May 14 at 4.30 pm at the Multipurpose Hall of Art & Culture Department, Patto Plaza, Panjim. It is a unique book because it has lyrics of “kantaram”, their music scores and the translation of Konkani lyrics into English. The lyrics of ‘Kantaram’ are composed by Tomazinho Cardozo, the music score is written by Nolvert Cota and the translation of Konkani lyrics into English is done by Irene Cardozo. The book has 100 ‘kantaram’ which include Solos, Duets, Duos, Trios, Quartets and choral songs. The Chief Guest for the function will be Rev Fr Peter Cardozo, Director of Pilar Music Academy and a renowned music composer and singer himself.
