Shekar Bhat, a driver with the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL), who was recently awarded with a national recognition for 20 years of accident-free driving, was felicitated in Vasco recently.
Forty-two drivers of public transport buses from different parts of the country were recognised and felicitated with Safety Awards as ‘Super 42 Drivers’ with ‘Zero Accidents’. Bhat was placed in the 34th position for his 20 years of unblemished services.
Bhat was felicitated by Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar in the presence of KTCL Vice Chairman Kritesh Gaonkar, KTC General Manager Sanjay Ghate and others.
Speaking to reporters, Salkar said Bhat had received the award at a function in Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhat advised other drivers to drive the buses without tensions in the head or stress in the mind.
