Mangalsutra snatched in Mapusa

A bike-borne miscreant snatched a woman’s gold mangalsutra worth Rs 1.50 lakh at Khorlim, Mapusa on Sunday morning, Mapusa Police informed. Anjali Kinlekar (60), who lost her mangalsutra has filed a complaint at Mapusa Police Station.In her complaint, she stated that she was plucking flowers outside her house at Khorlim at around 7.30 am when the miscreant on a bike stopped near her and on the pretext of asking for an address snatched her gold mangalsutra and sped off.Based on the complaint, Mapusa police registered an offence of theft against an unknown person. ASI Dnyaneshwar Malik is investigating further.
