CANACONA
Jayram Kale, a well-known music teacher from Shristhal-Canacona, died after a brief illness on Friday.
Kale had been undergoing treatment when his health deteriorated and he passed away at a hospital in South Goa, informed sources.
Kale was a music teacher with the arts and culture department and was a trained vocal teacher. He had performed at several music concerts and cultural events over the State and in Canacona taluka.
As a music teacher, Kale used to visit three schools in Canacona training school children in music. He was the member of Canacona Kalakar Sangh, Shristhal Kala Krida Mandal and Mallikarjun Vatnalaya, Shristhal. Shri Mallikarjun Devalaya Committee (Shristhal) President Rajendra Dessai and the committee have condoled the demise of Kale.
“Kale was a fine artiste and Canacona has lost a talented young musician in his premature death,” said Dessai.
