No-trust motion against PMC chairperson

Seven councillors of the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) on Monday moved a no-confidence motion against Chairperson Shantaram Kolvekar.

The motion has been signed by councillors Vishwanath Dalvi, Virendra Dhavalikar, Yatish Savkar, Archana Naik Dangui, Anand Naik, William Aguiar and Ritesh Naik.

The councillors have claimed that the chairperson has not been taking them into confidence while taking the decisions and they have sought an immediate discussion on the resolution. Incidentally, the no-confidence motion has been signed by 7 of the 15 councillors and it is left to be seen if the aggrieved group of councillors can get the support of another councillor to be successful in their motion.

Blood donation camp at Chicalim school

VASCO The Alumni Association of Regina Mundi School, Chicalim, will organise a blood donation drive on October 3 at the Regina Mundi School from 10 am to 1 pm. The blood donation drive is organised in association with the Goa Medical College. The eligibility conditions are those between 18 and 60 years, those completing 2 weeks after first or second dose, those who have taken both doses of the vaccine and those who have completed 4 weeks after Covid with negative RT-PCR.…
