About 100 teachers participated in a workshop-cum-interactive session on ‘Holistic, Integrated and Joyful Learning’ conducted by Fr Agnel Co-ed Senior Secondary School, Bhopal. The workshop was conducted by former principal of Nirmala College of Education, Panaji, Dr Denzil Martins, who is a noted educational innovator and versatile educationist. This workshop was aimed at instructing teachers on how to effectively use constructivist learning principles to make their lessons interactive and effective. Dr Martins apprised the teachers of the role of educators, which is to update themselves, expand their knowledge ambit and learn new methodologies to make their classrooms very interesting. The session equipped the teachers with various innovative strategies. Fr Allan Noronha, SFX, Coordinator of the Legal Cell, Archdiocesan Board of Education (ABE) in Goa and seminar coordinator introduced the resource person, addressed the participants and highlighted the overview of the seminar. Fr Habil Minj, SFX, the manager of the school, was the key person in organising the workshop. School Principal Sojan Joseph reiterated that the skills associated with effective classroom management can only be acquired by the willingness to learn. The session concluded with an enlightening mind-map activity, wherein the members of different faculties brainstormed in groups and shared their findings with the audience, show casing their innovation and creativity.
