PANAJI: HarperCollins India has won the ‘Publisher of the Year Award’ in the 8th edition of the Goa-based Publishing Next Conference that presents Publishing Next Industry Awards (PNIA) annually in 10 different categories. Pratham Books, the Bengaluru-based non-profit publisher was declared runner-up in this category. Richa Burman of Penguin Random House India won the Editor of the Year Award, while Archana Sreenivasan won the Illustrator of the Year Award. The Bookstore of the Year 2021 was awarded to Delhi based Eureka Bookstore and Mumbai-based Kitab Khana was the runner-up. Children's Book of the Year was in two categories (0-8) and (8 plus). The awards were bagged by Lavanya Karthik and Sushi Shukla as well as Shweta Taneja and Bama. ‘Printed Book of the Year’ went to Takeshi Nakajima, Akkai Padmashali, Dominic D, T M Krishna and Mehr Afshan Farooqi.
