PANAJICertification Ceremony of the 13th and 14th batches of Sahayata Home Care Nursing Training Centre, a community service project initiated by Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town in partnership with Matruchhaya Trust was held recently in Panaji. Chief Guest of the function, Chairman of EDC Ltd, Sadanand Shet Tanavade handed over the certificates of graduation to the 20 students. Tanavade in his address praised the efforts of Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town where people unite and take action to create lasting change in the World. President of Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town Rtn Siddha Sardessai, in his welcome address highlighted the 5 flagship projects of the Club namely Saksharta (Educational Grants to deserving students), Sudharta (Disability Corrective Surgery Project), Sahayata (Home Care Nursing), Swachhata (Providing Sanitation Facilities) and Sanjeevani (Healthcare equipments to needy patients). Matruchhaya’s Sahayata Home Care Nursing Training Centre gives training in Home Care Nursing to eligible students free of cost. This is a 6-month residential course & includes 3 months of practical training at Goa Medical College. Minimum eligibility to join the course is 8th Standard pass and students must be between 18 years to 45 yrs of age. On completion of course 100% placement is assured.
