Fire fighters needed to calm hearts of fellowmen

This is with reference to the report, "Pat on back across party lines for fire fighters - The Goan Everyday, July 14, 2022." It was good to see legislators irrespective of party affiliations, coming together to praise the fire fighters, in the Goa Assembly. There is no doubt that fire fighters all over, are always ready to put their lives at risk in order to save lives of others, be it a raging fire in a high rise or a slum or a structure that has crashed.  It is fitting therefore, that they be appreciated and provided all necessary facilities and funds to enable them to continue giving off their best. However, what we also desperately need today, is fire fighters to calm the hearts of our fellowmen who are in turmoil due to so many reasons. To quell the fire raging in the hearts of our fellowmen torn apart by religion, caste, culture, language, etc. It's time we all understand that 'unity in diversity' is our strength. We all want peace and unity in our country and for that to happen, we need suitable fire fighters. Are we willing to become fire fighters?

Make Konkani must for jobs in private firms
