Canacona Sports and Cultural Club defeated Sporting Club of Davorlim 2-0 in a 2nd Mansion House Football Cup match at the Government School ground on Sunday.
Canacona made an early breakthrough when Ronaldo Dias converted following a corner kick in the 10th minute.
Davorlim came close to an immediate response two minutes later, but Milton Colaco’s direct free-kick effort was cleared by the Canacona goalkeeper.
Canacona doubled their lead in the 56th minute through Ronaldo Oliveira and held on comfortably to secure all three points.
Davorlim’s Vellroy Colaco was named Man of the Match. Former India international Freddy Mascarenhas presented the award.
