MARGAO: Vailankanni Boys Gounlloy defeated Perpetual Boys Kirbhat 11-10 via the tiebreaker to advance to the next round of the St Sebastian Boys of Murda, Nuvem Inter-Ward Football Tournament at Nuvem Church Ground on Tuesday.
Both teams played out a goalless draw in regulation time, forcing the match into a penalty shootout.
Vailankanni Boys Gounlloy converted their penalties through Bryson, Adroy, Shenoy (2), Leroy (2), Emerson, Rexon, Nickson Rebello, Siden Colaco and Shiva Lohra.
For Perpetual Boys Kirbhat, Silroy, Movin, Vijay, Gullit, Milton, Cyrus, Ryan, Bernand, Jerson and Myron found the net.
Leroy Colaco of Gounlloy was adjudged Man of the Match. He received the award from St Sebastian member Milagres Andrade.
