Gujarat were put on the back foot by a disciplined Goa bowling attack as they struggled to 248 for nine on the opening day of their four-day Dr (Captain) Thimmappiah Memorial Trophy match at the Bal Gangadharanatha Swamiji School Ground in Bengaluru on Sunday. The tournament is being organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Gujarat reached 248 for nine in 90 overs at the close of play. For Goa, Yash Kasvankar was the most successful bowler, claiming four wickets for 27 runs, while Gujarat’s Urvil Patel (54) and Manan Hingrajia (46) made notable contributions.
