The Association of Senior Citizens of Taleigão is organising a talent competition “Seniors Have Talent” on June 25 at 6.30 pm at St Michael Community Centre, St Michael’s Church, Taleigão for seniors (for persons 60 years and above). The programme aims at encouraging seniors to keep their talents alive and continue enjoying life. The competition will have three sections: solo singing, solo instrumental music and poetry recitation. Each participant will have a time limit of 4 minutes. Solo singing may be in any language. Accompaniment, if desired, should be arranged by the participant. For instrumental music, the participant should bring his/her own instrument. Poetry recitation may be in Konkani/English. Three prizes will be awarded in each category. Those wishing to participate may give their names by June 9 to the St Michael Church Office/June D’Costa (9049502614). The organisers may conduct a preliminary round to limit the number of participants for the final competition.
