Shlokabaddh Geetasar’ published in Marathi by Krutarth Mardol

PANAJI

Krutarth Mardol, a social organisation from Goa, has taken initiative to publish 'Shlokabaddh Geetasar' in Marathi. The book has 18 shlokas from the Bhagawat Geeta, which is an essence of each of the 18 chapters in Geeta compressed in a few lines. “The shlokas are poetic and can be sang, learnt or byheart easily,” stated Anil Samant, advisor at Krutarth Mardol, adding, “Shreemad Bhagwat Geeta is a valuable asset in a book form, which guides people in their day-to-day lives. As this huge book is not easily handled on a day-to-day basis, to make the reading easy and to allow students to study the book, Krutarth Mardol has taken initiative of compiling the chapters in the form of four lines each, and present in 18 shlokas.” Samant was speaking about the project at a meeting in Mapusa’s Shree Ganesh Higher Secondary School, managed by Vidya Bharati Saunstha. Briefing on the book and its importance in today's life, Samant also guided the teachers on how the book can be taught to the students. A separate workshop will also be organised for the teachers to train them in this activity. The meeting was attended by the principal of Shree Ganesh Higher Secondary School Gajanan Mandrekar and faculty.
