The Neura panchayat will convene a special Gram Sabha in the panchayat hall on Sunday at 10.30 am, to discuss the four-laning of the existing Goa-Karnataka highway and the link between NH4A and NH17, as proposed by the Draft Regional Plan.
According to some locals, the proposal is expected to create environmental damage as well as pose a threat to religious and heritage structures along the existing Pilar-Neura village road.
