The awards given in the name of late social worker Vaidehi Patkar were conferred to the journalists of Sindhudurg Live channel, Bhagwan Shelte and anchor Juilee Pangam at the hands of historian and environmentalist Prof Rajendra Kerkar.
Dr Rupesh Patkar gave the introductory speech on the occasion and apart from the journalists, a maths teacher, Digambar Bhaje from the Government Secondary School, Keri-Sattari was among the awardees. The award in the form of shawl, coconut, certification and gift, was given at the hands of Prof Rajendra Kerkar who addressed the audience after the award distribution function. The awardees Digambar Bhaje and Juilee Pangam also spoke on this occasion. The event was attended by Psychiatrist Dr Rupesh Patkar, journalist Raghoba Pednekar, Dashrath Morajkar, Rajkumar Tiprale and others.
