PANAJI: On the occasion of International Day of Forests (March 21) a ceremonial plantation was held at Joggers Park at Altinho, Panaji in the presence of Rajiv Kumar Gupta, IFS, principal chief conservator of Forests (Goa), Col S F H Rizvi, IPoS, postmaster general, Goa Region, Santosh Kumar, IFS, additional principal chief conservator of Forests and chief wildlife warden. Goa Postal Division in collaboration with Goa Forest Department released a Special Cover and Special Cancellation on ‘Myristica Swamps - Unique Ecosystem’, Permanent Pictorial Cancellation with Augmented reality along with a Postcard Pack on Olive Ridley Turtle for Loliem Sub Post Office, Set of Picture Postcards on Indian Leopard and Avian Diversity in Maharashtra and Goa, both set of Postcard with Augmented reality at Van Bhawan in Panaji.
