PORVORIM: Summer Tech Fest 2023 for kids was inaugurated in Salvador do Mundo recently. The festival, which is jointly organised by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education among school children, fostering creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Speaking at the event, IT Minister Rohan Khaunte said, “Goa is home to around 190 startups. There is lot of talents in Goa but that is not being tapped. The government is making all efforts to ensure that the aims of start up policies reaches to the students of the colleges. Next the department would focus on the digital empowerment of women particularly residing in villages.”
