MARGAO
The 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand was celebrated at Damodar Sal, Margao on Tuesday. Swami Vivekanand had visited Damodar Sal in October 1892 before he had to go to Chicago for the World summit. He had also visited the Rachol Seminary to learn about Christianity and had visited various temples across Goa, including the Mangueshi and Mardol temples.
Swami Mahesh Atmananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission graced the occasion along with V. M. Prabhudesai, ED of SAG and President of Ramakrishna Mission (Goa), Ashish Nadkarni and Damodar Sevak Mandal's Pradeep Naik, Pandurang (Bhai) Naik, Prabhav Naik, Showmik Pai Angle, Dada Naik and Sushant Mulgaonkar. Swami Mahesh Atmananda interacted with the dignitaries present. He also said that the youth who wish to excel in their fields have to be focused in life like Swami Vivekanand.
