PANAJI: One should get education but not just to become literate, but to know the ultimate principle of creation, Dr Manoj Kamat, Principal of SS Dhempo College of Commerce and Economics asserted that the purpose of education is to broaden our life, to achieve self-realization, to become sensitive and reflective.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the Teachers’ Day program jointly organized by Kudchade Sawarde Rotary Club and Innerwheel Club at Rotary Hall, Curchorem.
On this occasion, Suraj Joshi, a teacher at The New Educational Institute High School, Sugandha Bhat, a teacher at Chandrabhaga Tukoba Naik High School, and Tejaswini Naik and Manda Rane were felicitated.
