VASCO: A ‘Ghumat Vadan’ workshop was inaugurated at the Ravindra Bhavan Baina (RBB) on Friday afternoon by RBB Chairman Jayant Jadhav, resource person Shubham Naik, and others.
Speaking to the media, Jadhav said that the workshop was inaugurated to train people in playing the Ghumat, a musical instrument that is often an integral part of the Ganesh Arti.
“We at RBB have started a workshop for Ghumat Vadan, which will run until the 15th of this month. This is open to anyone over the age of 10, and we have already enrolled around 40 students today. We are expecting more people to attend this workshop, and it is our effort to help people learn and play the Ghumat, just ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival,” Jadhav added.
