PERNEM: A new textbook titled ‘Basic Electrical Engineering “ Short Notes and MCQs’, authored by Mahesh Godkar, Vocational Instructor at Government ITI Pernem, was released at a special function held at the institute. The book was inaugurated by Vinayak Kambli, Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Also present were Zilla Panchayat Member Ranganathan Kalshavkar, Parcem Sarpanch Ajay Kalangutkar, Principal of Govt ITI Pernem Sandeep Gaude, and Group Instructor Shambhurao Harmalkar.
Speaking on the occasion, Godkar said the book is designed to support students of Electrical and Wireman trades (First Year), covering topics such as electrical safety rules, types of cables, transformers and their types, AC and DC connections and their applications, cells and batteries, domestic appliances, and measuring instruments of electrical quantities.
“The book has been written with technical support to make learning easier and more practical. It will also help trainees preparing for competitive computer-based exams for posts like Electrical Station Operator, Lineman, Wireman, and Switchboard Operator,” Godkar added.
The book was well received by the faculty and students, who commended Godkar’s effort in compiling concise study material that blends theory with practical understanding.
