Tie-dye workshop with international artist Rani Sarin on March 23

The US based international artist Rani Sarin will be holding a hands-on workshop on the ancient craft of tie-dye at Carpe Diem in Majorda on March 23 at 3.30-6 pm. The participants will be learning the art of dipping cloth into colours and tie-dye. The workshop will introduce the basics of making patterns using the tie dye method. Old clothes like T-shirt, scarf or dupatta can be transformed into a colourful fashion statement and the participants can carry 3-5 items to dye. The artist, Rani Sarin, born and raised in India, pursued a master’s in textiles before expanding her artistic education in Sweden and Barcelona. Now based in Boston, she continues to explore the interplay of cultures, ideas, and materials in her art. Siolim Parish to mark Fathers’ Day on March 19

PANAJIThe St Anthony’s Parish at Siolim will celebrate the Fathers’ Day on March 19. ‘Our Fathers are our Treasures’ is the theme chosen for the celebration.
