MARGAO: Vancio Warriors Paroda score a 6-2 win over Costa Boys Dicarpale to move to the quarter-finals of 4th all Goa inter-village open football tournament, organised by Davorlim Sports and Cultural Club, at Davorlim club ground, Laymati, on Tuesday.
Meuzon Fernandes of Vancio Warriors was star the of the match who scored six goals. In first session, Meuzon Fernandes scored three goals in 7th, 27th and 30th minutes of play while Jason valles of Costa Boys Dicarpale pulled one goal back before half time with powerful shot from close range.
After resumption, Meuzon Fernandes of Paroda scored his fourth goal in 42nd minute with a free kick from outside the box. Later on, Fedrich and Saulon Fernandes of Vancio Warriors missed the opportunity to score.
In the last quarter, Meuzon Fernandes of Vancio Warriors scored two more goals to complete his double hat-trick. Kevin and Benny of Costa Boys missed the target.
