Verna police on Wednesday registered an offence against Verna Panch Anthony Braganza on charges of criminal trespass and threats.
Sources in Verna police said a youth had filed a complaint against the panch member, accusing Braganza of criminally trespassing into his property and demolishing a temporary shed/ chicken shop and damaging items lying in the chicken shop.
The panch was also accused of threatening former Verna sarpanch Loren Marie Alfonso.
Verna police have registered an offence against Anthony Braganza under Sections 447, 427, 379, 323, 506(ii) IPC.
Verna PSI Sanket Talkar is investigating the case under the supervision of Verna PI Diago Gracias and Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
