Directorate of Agriculture in association with the Coconut Development Board, Kochi has organised a State Level Workshop on ‘Aspects and Prospects of Coconut Production’ at Goa State Agricultural Produce & Livestock Marketing Board, Agri Bazar, Ponda from 10 am onwards on April 27. This workshop is organised as a part of the Government of India Programme celebration ‘Annadata Devo Bhava/Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari’ campaign under Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav to update the innovations in scientific coconut cultivation and value addition among scientists, officials, extension workers and the farming community of Goa.
Minister for Agriculture Ravi Naik will inaugurate the workshop in presence of Secretary (Agriculture) Arun Kumar Mishra IAS, Chairman, Goa Agricultural Produce and LiveStock Marketing Board, Arlem Prakash Velip, and Director, Coconut Development Board Dr E Aravazhi, will also grace the occasion.
