The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), BITS Pilani, organised a half-day workshop on ‘Development of Electric Vehicles, Softwares, Architecture and Control’ last week. The workshop was conducted by Prof Siddhartha Mukhpopadhya, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. In his detailed workshop, Prof Mukhpopadhya pointed out various practical issues that helped the participants to explore different areas in EV to start the research in this field. He discussed different areas in EVs, such as SoC estimation techniques, managing the different batteries, charging-discharging issues, range extension problems, etc, in detail that boosted the energy level to start work with EVs.
