PERNEM: A land of approximately 4 lakh sq mtrs has been converted for constructions on the Agarwada-Chopde hilltop and voicing concern and expressing anguish against this massive hill cutting the locals have given a call of ‘Chalo Agarwada-Chopdem’ to oppose the proposed developmental projects.
As this hill area is in the heart of the village and if mega constructions are carried out on top, the village will suffer the consequences, fear the citizens. Sensing the danger to the village that would lose its identity and would no longer be a village, the Agarwada-Chopde Nagrik Samiti has given a call to the people in Pernem to join them in this protest march, and support the cause, thereby exhibiting their strength on October 2 at 4 pm.
