MARGAOrrDuring an interaction with the media on the sidelines of a function at the Rajagiri hospital here on Sunday, Sardesai reiterated that he is personally opposed to new casinos boats being allowed in the Mandovi, adding that he favours the shifting the existing casinos out from the river. He, however, added that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will unveil the casino policy in the ensuing Assembly session.
‘Casino policy in coming session’
Even as Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar asserted that the casino boat was being allowed entry into the river as per the court directives, Town and Country Planning Minister, Vijai Sardesai on Sunday said the coalition government would unveil its policy on the controversial casinos in the ensuing Assembly session, with the Minister stating that he personally favours shifting all casinos out of Mandovi river.rnHe pointed out that the owner of the sixth casino should not have taken the decision to move the vessel in the prevailing hostile weather conditions.
