2 Odisha youth held for Ganja worth Rs 8.17 lakh in Nagoa-Arpora

Two youth from Odisha were arrested by Anjuna police on charges of possessing a combined 8.175 kgs of ganja valued at Rs 8.17 lakh in Nagoa-Arpora.

Anjuna police received information about the sale of drugs near the chapel in Diaswada, Nagoa and laid a trap. When the two suspects, Sanjeeb Hapana Marandi (26) and Deepika Dhobuni Polai (18), arrived at the spot, they were nabbed.

During a search, Sanjeeb Marandi was allegedly found with 4.107 kgs of ganja and Deepika Polai was allegedly found with 4.068 kgs of ganja, the combined value of which is Rs 8.17 lakh. The two suspects were arrested under the NDPS Act.

A police team conducted the raid under the leadership of Police Inspector Suraj Gawas and guidance of DySP Sandesh Chodankar and North Goa SP Akshat Kaushal.
