A week after its first visit to the Kalasa-Bhandura water diversion project site, the three-member Joint Inspection Committee formed on the directions of the Supreme Court will make another visit to the project site on March 26.
The committee is expected to submit a report to the Supreme Court on whether water from Mhadei was diverted by Karnataka government via the Kalasa nallah in violation of the court orders under the Mhadei project.
It may be recalled that the three-member JIC representing Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra had inspected the project site on March 19 and had conducted a survey.
The JIC is expected to submit its report to the Supreme Court within the next few days, as the hearing into the case is scheduled for April 4.
