Noted Cardiac surgeon Dr M D Dixit of the Arihant Hospital, Belagavi will hold a check-up camp in Goa at Goa Scan Center Porvorim on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. Dr Dixit has appealed that patients with heart-related problems should take benefit of the same.
He is the first cardiologist in Karnataka and Goa region to perform robotic heart surgery and has successfully performed more than 30,000 heart surgeries. At the same time, he has also successfully performed surgery on a child weighing only 900 grams.
“In today's world, everyone is busy with work. However, while doing this, we are having adverse effects on our health without realising it. In this, heart-related problems are coming forward strongly. Earlier, this problem was big among the elderly. However, now this problem is seen in every age group of citizens. Heart problems have increased especially among the youth,” Dr Dixit said.
“Patients with heart disease, chest pain, patients advised for bypass surgery, heart valve disease, congenital heart disease, heart disease in newborns and children, patients with hole in the heart, breathing problems, heart failure patients should take benefit of the check-up camp,” Dr Dixit added.
