According to sources, a family from Karnataka comprising three members had arrived in Goa in a car when they met with an accident at the Verna-Cansaulim road.

When he reached near the Three Kings Open Hall along the road, he lost control of the vehicle and went on the other lane and dashed head on against an oncoming SUV.”
“The car had three members and was being driven by Karan Vineet Sharma (25). His mother Priyamoda Vineet Sharma (53) and father Vineet Sharma (53) who was seated behind were grievously injured in the incident and were immediately shifted to GMC hospital.”
“However, Priyamoda Sharma died while undergoing treatment, while the other two members were out of danger and were discharged on Thursday. The body of Priyamoda Sharma was also handed over to the family," said the source.
The family is from Bangalore and had arrived to Goa to celebrate the birthday of Karan Sharma on Wednesday.
