Nilesh Cabral, Minister for Environment and Public Works will be the Chief Guest for World Water & Environmental day organised jointly by the Indian Water Works Association (IWWA) and Public Works Department.The function will be held on June 3 at 4.30 pm in PWD hall Althino, Panaji.
The Goa centre of IWWA has a membership of about 250 members, most of whom are engineering officers rank in the Public Works Department, Water Resources department Sewerage Corporation, Academics, and Industry Professionals.
Vilas Chouthai, a national recipient of “Rejuvenation of Agrani River in Sangali District” will deliver his address on this occasion.
On this occasion, the Public Health Engineering divisions of the Public Works Department who have worked tirelessly as front-line workers to supply water to the community during the difficult time of COVID-19 and floods will be felicitated.
Uttam Parsekar, Principal Chief Engineer also will be present on the occasion.
Chairman of IWWA Goa Virkumar Sawant and Secretary Satyesh Kakodkar have requested the engineering fraternity and water conservators to participate in this function.
