PONDA: A car driver had a lucky escape when a tree came crashing down in front of the government school in Palwara-Usgao on Monday morning.
According to reports, a car was proceeding along the one-way road in Palwara when the driver noticed the tree collapsing onto the road. They slammed the brakes to stop the car and avert a mishap. Traffic was disrupted along the route.
Later, the Ponda fire brigade went to the site and cleared the tree from the road, restoring traffic on the one-way road.
