The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has considered around 30 promotions across different departments including 22 in the Directorate of Accounts alone, through 10 departmental promotion committee meetings held on Wednesday.
GPSC Chairman Jose Manel Noronha, who chaired the meetings, informed that 22 officers from the Accounts Department were promoted of whom 12 are to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer and 10 to the post of Deputy Director of Accounts. The Commission has also recommended one officer for the post of Director of information technology in the DoIT.
Four other officials are promoted as Section Officer in the Secretariat while one official is elevated to the post of Deputy Director of Education.
In the Directorate of Health Services, one officer was promoted to senior anesthetist while another promotion is to the post of senior gynaecologist. “Other meetings considered lifting the probation of officers in the Directorate of Accounts and Department of Information and Publicity,” Noronha said.
In another meeting held earlier, a review of an earlier conducted DPC meeting was held wherein one officer was recommended for the position of Special Auditor in the Department of Cooperation.
The DPC meeting was also attended by its members consisting of the Chief Secretary and Administrative Secretary, as per the recruitment rules in vogue.
