Though Goa experienced sunny and warm weather during the day on Friday, the weather department has predicted light to moderate rain/thundershowers at a few places for the next four days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and winds gusting to 40-50 kmph are very likely at isolated places on Saturday and Sunday.
According to IMD, dry weather prevailed over the State on Friday even as the highest maximum temperature of 34.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Panaji while the lowest temperature was 23.8 degree Celsius.
The unusually warm weather in November has caused quite a concern among the local populace who normally experience cold weather conditions in the month. However, the IMD, Delhi has said warmer than usual weather conditions are expected to continue in most parts of the country. While day temperatures would be on the higher side, nights will also be warmer, the IMD said.
In the meanwhile, in the post-monsoon period (Oct 1 to Nov 3) the State received 150.8 mm of actual rainfall as opposed to the normal of 168.8 mm showing a deficit of 10.6 per cent.
