Twenty-eight Patient Care Attendants at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour (IPHB) withdrew their strike after the government renewed their contracts for another year.
The workers had been on strike at Azad Maidan since the last 40 days after the State government had terminated their contracts.
The contract has been renewed with immediate effect for another year, states a government order.
The workers have thanked Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanawade for considering their demand.
