Several villagers on Sunday said that film and wedding shoots carried out on the village roads of Bastora disturbed the routine of locals and urged the panchayat to take up the issue with concerned authorities.
The locals wanted to know whether the concerned parties involved in the shoot took permission of the local panchayat and if they earned any revenue out of the exercise.
The gram sabha was informed that film shoots take permission from the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) under the single window system and did not require permission of the panchayat.
Former sarpanch Savio Martins suggested that the panchayat should write to ESG requesting it to write to the panchayat about any shooting schedules at least 10 or eight days in advance.
